The Purple Character

Created over the span of a month, these watercolours were a way for me to deal with the sudden loss of my father.

These are quiet explorations of grief, loss, trying to make sense of the senseless, of the new unwelcome world in which I was so suddenly thrown.

The Purple character was born, a faceless entity, to sometimes be me, sometimes my sister, sometimes my mother, and other times all of us.
